Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing practised in China for thousands of years as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a form of treatment involving insertion of fine, sterile, needles into skin which stimulate vital energy points. The theory is that our health depends on the body’s motivating energy that flows through our body.
Acupuncture is based on the theory that our health depends on the body’s motivating energy known as Qi that flows through our body. By inserting fine needles into the channels of energy, the body will have its immune and healing responses stimulated and the balance of energy will be restored. The aim is to treat the whole person and to recover the equilibrium between the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual.
It is effective in a wide variety of conditions through its power to regulate the channels of energy, re-establish the energy balance and stimulate the mind and body’s own healing response. Only disposable needles are used to ensure safety.
